Terms of service
Last updated
These terms are the agreement between you and SubEye. They are deliberately short, because the app is deliberately small.
Who you are agreeing with
SubEye is built and operated by Yehor Hunko, an individual based in Ukraine. Contact: privacy@subeye.cc.
What SubEye is
An iPhone app for recording subscriptions you already have and seeing what they cost. It is a record of what you tell it. It has no connection to your bank, it does not read your email, it cannot see your actual charges, and it cannot cancel anything on your behalf.
Every figure in the app is arithmetic on the numbers you entered. If a price you typed is wrong, or a merchant charges something different, or an exchange rate moves, the app will be wrong too. It is a tracker, not a statement, and it is not financial advice.
Your account
You need an account so your subscriptions survive a lost phone. You are responsible for keeping access to it — including the Google, GitHub or Apple account you sign in with, if you use one. One account is for one person.
You must be 16 or older, and you must not use SubEye to break the law, to attack the service, or to attempt to reach data that is not yours.
Your data is yours
The subscriptions, notes and categories you enter belong to you. SubEye stores and processes them to run the service and for nothing else — see the privacy policy. No ownership of your content is claimed, and it is never sold.
Free and Pro
The free version is not a trial. Unlimited subscriptions, the whole dashboard, search and filters, every lifecycle action and multi-currency conversion are free and stay free.
SubEye Pro is a single payment of $11.99, or the equivalent set for your App Store storefront — about 199 ₴ in Ukraine. It is not a subscription and it does not renew. It unlocks renewal reminders, trial-ending and price-change tracking, and categories with the spend breakdown.
Purchases are made through Apple, under Apple's terms. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by SubEye.
Notifications
Renewal reminders are scheduled on your device by iOS. If you deny notification permission, turn the device off, or force-quit the app for a long time, iOS may not deliver them. Do not rely on SubEye as your only defence against an unwanted renewal.
Availability
SubEye is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. It is a small independent app: the service may be unavailable, may change, and may one day stop. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, but otherwise liability is limited to what you paid for SubEye Pro, if anything.
If the service is going to be discontinued, reasonable notice will be given in the app so you can export or record your data first.
Ending it
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings, which removes the account and every subscription in it. Access may be suspended or ended if these terms are broken in a way that harms the service or another person.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top of this page will change with them, and a material change will be announced in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use SubEye after that means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this does not remove the protections of your own country's law.
